09:30-10:00 - Shifen Old Street

Head off Pingxi. Shifen Old Street is the largest and busiest old street on the Pingxi Railway line, it's famous for setting of sky lantern. Here one can enjoy delicious food, beautiful scenery, and learn about the mining history of the area.
10:00-11:00 - Golden Waterfall~Yinyang Sea
Golden Waterfall is a ledge waterfall. The rock formations on both sides of the waterfall go against the flow of the water, which is a geological feature called the anticline structure. The majestic stream splashes as it rushes into the extremely deep pool below the waterfall. As the sun shines on the mist, a rainbow can be seen hanging over the waterfall or pool.
11:30-13:30 - Jiufen Old Street
The narrow street of Jiufen Old Street, which goes along the hill, has gathered all kinds of stores. The good smell of the traditional food is everywhere. You must try the classic snacks in Jiufen, such as taro balls, meatballs, chháu-á-kóe (mugwort rice cake), and more. Besides, there are antique toys, special Taiwanese souvenirs and other dazzling array shopping options for tourists to choose from. You can explore the unknown in the lanes and alleys in Jiufen, and admire its beauty from different angles.

The tour was short but great we get to see Jiufen and Shihfen very thoroughly. William our tourguide was funny and very approachable. We beat all the crowd by visiting early and leaving early.

Excellent visit of really interesting venues with Willans who was a well informed tour guide. He really went out of his way to show us a good experience. My only recommendation would be to do this tour as a longer all day visit to allow for time to visit the venues but if time is short...this is the trip for you.
