1. Taiwan’s Climate Overview
Northern Taiwan (Taipei, Keelung, etc.)Winters are relatively cold, summers are humid, and it rains throughout the year.
Central Taiwan (Taichung, Nantou, etc.)Generally warm year-round. Summers are humid, and the rainy season is shorter.
Southern Taiwan (Kaohsiung, Tainan, etc.)Warm even in winter; summers are extremely hot and humid.

Light cardigan or jacket (indoor air-conditioning, including on buses and trains, is very strong—always keep one with you!)

Spring / Autumn: Weather changes quickly—carry a foldable umbrella.
Summer: Prevent heatstroke—stay hydrated, wear hats, use sunscreen. Bring a light jacket for strong indoor AC.
