At the far end of the boulevard stands the Main Library, one of Taiwan’s largest academic libraries. Built in the 1930s as the Taipei Imperial University Library, the red-brick exterior blends Western and Japanese architectural styles, giving it a stately, classical charm. The building itself is designated as a cultural heritage site.
