Where to See Cherry Blossoms in Taiwan

Taiwan is one of the best destinations in Asia for cherry blossom viewing. From January to March, the island is covered in pink and white blooms, creating breathtaking landscapes. Whether you're in Taipei, Taichung, or further south, here are the best places to enjoy cherry blossoms in Taiwan.


1. Yangmingshan National Park (陽明山國家公園) – Taipei

Located just outside Taipei, Yangmingshan is one of the most famous spots for cherry blossoms. The park features different varieties, including pink Taiwan cherry and white Yoshino cherry. The annual Yangmingshan Flower Festival is a must-visit during the season.

2. Wuling Farm (武陵農場) – Taichung

A paradise for flower lovers, Wuling Farm boasts thousands of cherry trees in full bloom. The mountain scenery combined with the pink blossoms creates a magical experience. Early reservations are recommended for accommodation during peak season.

3. Alishan (阿里山) – Chiayi

  • Northern Taiwan (Taipei, New Taipei): Late January to early March

  • Central Taiwan (Taichung, Nantou): February to mid-March

  • Southern Taiwan (Chiayi, Alishan): March
